First I want to thank all my Chairman for the work that they have done so far this year. At our District meeting in Dec we were 100% reported and participated in all the Chairman's programs. And at that time we were 87% paid in membership. Thanks to all the members that paid their dues. We still have 114 that haven't paid for the year. Remember, if your dues are not paid by January 1, 2001 you will not be able to participate in any auxiliary function or be allowed to enter the Post. So please send your dues of $18.00 to our membership chairman, Cathy Eckhart c/o the Post. Thank you. We really need to be 100% before the year ends in June.
Our Mid-Winter Conference will be the 18th thru the 21st in Cinn. Hope you are planning to attend. You can learn a lot about Veterans, and many ways that you can be of help to them.
The ones that work and sew bibs for the Ohio Veterans Home wishes to thank the Post for all the support that they have given to them this year; it was greatly appreciated. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU FROM The Bib Makers!
We wish to thank all the ones that brought in Cards for the Golden Acres Nursing Home; we had plenty. Thank you. And for the Birthday Cards, they will all get used. Thank you.
Our Voice of Democracy program will be on the 13th of January. We will then be Honoring the Students that participated in the essay (WHAT PRICE IS FREEDOM). This will be a tureen starting at 6:00 PM with Big Jim Dickens, Past Dept Cmdr, as our speaker. The Post will furnish the meat and potatoes.
Program Coordinator, Georgette Krugman, would like for all the Chairman to check and if they have done anything for their chairmanship and haven't reported it, to do it now so we can get more credit and to be 100% donated and participated by Mid-Winter Conference.
National Home Keep those Campbell labels coming in. The Home is trying to get a new van for the children. They still need thousands of dollars. Mail to the Post, or bring in marked (Labels for the President).
Reminder For February: on the 24th, District 9 will host Voice of Democracy & Youth Essay Banquet at post 2529, Sandusky beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets are $7.00 per person and will be held at the door.
Remember, our Auxiliary meetings are the 1st and the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8 p.m.. We really need you, try to attend.
Wishing you the best of health in the New Year. To those that are ill we wish a speedy recovery. To those that have lost a loved one, our deepest Sympathy.
