Ponderings by the Commander:
I hope everyone got through the month of January in good shape. It is hard to believe the combination of rain, snow, ice, cold & warm weather we have experienced so far this month.
I wish to thank everyone who helped me make our New Year’s Eve party so successful. We had a nice crowd, good food, great music, and I was told, a very enjoyable evening.
My thanks to Conrad & Wilma Zech and Ed Selavko for a successful Voice of Democracy, Youth Essay and Patriots Pen program. I’m sure all the winners and their parents, grandparents and teachers enjoyed a delicious meal (catered by Sterks) and a wonderful evening. Thanks to info received from State QM/Adj. Bob Funk, the expenses for the program were paid by the Charity Fund, thus no expense to the Post.
Try our Noon lunches! The food is good and the price is right. Take advantage of this service.
Lorain County Council will meet at Oberlin VFW Post 6273 on Tuesday, Feb. 8th., 8:00 PM.
