Greetings

As one year ends another begins. We start over trying to reach 100% in membership also participating in and reporting all the VFW programs. We can't begin to thank all me program chairmen and other volunteers in me past and we certainly ask for your help again this year in order for us to have another successful year.

Remember this date: Sunday, July 10th 2005. [Rain date July 17th]

We will host an Elyria Veterans Memorial Fund Raiser Classic Car, Truck and Motor-cycle Show. From 9 a.m. til 2 p.m. All proceeds go towards Elyria Veterans Memorial. This Memorial will be dedicated to Elyrians who have served all conflicts. We have flyers with more detailed information available.

We will begin this year without one of our very dedicated and hard working volunteer. Pat LePore. Pat served through the chairs and was Allstate Commander in 1989-90, All American Commander in 1990-91 and All-State again in 1993-94. He served on numerous Committees including our Honor Guard which he was with 30 or more
years and was Captain when he became ill. We will surely miss him and may he rest in peace[ Our Buddy].

On Tuesday, July 12. 2005, me VFW Lorain County Council will meet at Lorain Post 451, 8 p.m.

Agreement to end the Korean War signed at Panmunjom on July 27, 1953, after more than three years and thirty-two days of war. United States suffered 157, 530
