B Lorraine Cragin - President
Our next Early Bird Dinner will be on the 4th of November.  I know that everyone won't get to attend these dinners.  Before you can attend, your DUES must be paid early; that's why they call it the early bird Dinner.

We now stand at 80% paid in membership, needing 201 that haven't paid before we can be 100%.  And we are trying very hard to be 100% by December.  Please, if you are one of these that haven't paid your dues, help us by sending your dues of $18.00 to Cathy Eckhart, c/o Post 1079. Thank you.

We now have our new Key Chains for our Cancer fund (Little Hot Stuff) They sell for $3.00 per chain.  This is one way that we support our Cancer Fund.  Do your part.  Buy at least ONE.

Hospital
Our treat for the Ohio Veterans Home and treat for the Golden Acres Nursing Home for Christmas is just around the corner.  If you have any old Christmas Cards left over from last year that you would like to donate, Please bring them to the Post.  Mark them for the President.  We also are in need of Birthday Cards.

Don't forget to get out and VOTE, Tuesday, November 7th.  It is not only your Right, it is your OBLIGATION!  Take a friend or neighbor, who is not able to drive, with you.

THANKSGIVING, 23rd.  Look around at all the things you have to be THANKFUL for.  If you can't think of any, I'll tell you two:
(1)Every morning you are able to get out of bed.
(2)Because of our Veterans, You Have Your Freedom.

VFW National Home
