Ponderings by the Commander:
Thank you so much for a very nice turn out for the Veterans Day Service and Tureen Dinner held in the morning and evening. Bill Seagraves, guest speaker, gave an excellent talk and was impressed with the attendance and good food.
Thanksgiving will be over by the time you get this newsletter. Hope your Turkey Day was a good one.
Pearl Harbor Day, December 7th, Tuesday, will be remembered at the Post with a ceremony and luncheon served afterward. Just bring yourself. My guest speaker will be Henry Woloszyn.
We will be decorating the Hall for Christmas on December 6th at 9:00 AM. I’m asking for a good show of Santa’s Helpers to help me decorate. I encourage the Men’s Auxiliary to also come and help, and to begin becoming involved in Post functions.

The judging for Voice of Democracy/Youth Essay/Safety-Drugs will be December 4th at 12: noon at the Sandusky Post 2529.

Magadalene Elek, President
Sisters of the Auxiliary
Congratulations to Ruby and Mary and all the gals who worked on the Very Successful Chinese Auction! All of your hard work paid off. A big Thank You, also, to those who donated items and those who attended. Great job Ladies!!
Our patriotic Christmas Tree is in the Canteen, if you would like to donate a red, white & blue ornament. We’d appreciate it. Thanks!
Please Note: Only 1 meeting in December. It will be Dec 7th at 6:00pm with the Midview Express Choir, then followed by a short meeting. It’s important that your reservation and $5.00 be paid to Ruby by Dec 3rd. We need a count for Sterk’s Catering, that’s a must. Thanks.
A message from Wilma: Please bring USO items to the Christmas Party—suggestions are……...cookies, boxed soup, instant coffee, tea bags, candy and more candy, Kleenex, Christmas cards for them to send out , and for the female Iraq veterans, new briefs underwear.
A message from Ruby: If you haven’t paid your 2005 membership dues yet, you might receive a reminder phone call from one of our members very soon. We are encouraging all members to pay their dues by Dec 15th so that we can be 100% before the dues are raised to $19.00 on Jan 1, 2005. You will no longer receive a reminder notice from the National VFW Auxiliary.
May you all have a Blessed Chanukah and Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.
Our first meeting in 2005 will be Tuesday, Jan 4th at noon. If you would like to bring lunch, call me.
We will sew bibs on Thursday, Jan 6th at 9:00am. In November we sewed 120. We have a nice group of gals, Thanks.
Continue to pray for our troops and our Great Country. Happy Holidays, Magadalene Elek. Aux. President
