Thanks so much for all who helped with our Post functions from month to month.  To our employees and volunteers, we could never make it without you!  Myself and the officers of Post 1079 again need to say "THANK YOU"

Congratulations to Linda Crabeels voted by Post members as barmaid of the month,she was presented with a certificate and a award.

New Years Eve tickets will go on sale Nov. 4th at a reduced price this year $30 single or $50 per couple.   Catered by Sterks and entertainment by "Ralph Szubski Band.

Please open your hearts and do whatever you can for our food drive.  We are going to obtain names of needy Veterans and families
in our local area to deliver your donated food, so please help our unfortunate over the holiday  season.
Don't forget to pay your dues by December 31st.
Nov. 1st  thru 19th - Children Christmas Party sign up card will be at the post for children 10 years old and below.
Children Christmas party will be December 17th @ 1pm, be sure to fill the cards out clearly with phone number and please bring your camera.  Children must be present to receive gift.  Charlie Wirth Chairman
Nov.  7  - Election Day - GET OUT AND VOTE - I hope candidates night helped in your decision
Nov. 10 - Attention! All you Marines OOO-RAAAH!  Mike Holstein and Eric Sherepita will be hosting our Marine Corp Birthday at 6pm come join the festivities.
Nov. 11 - Veterans Day Tureen , The program will be 6pm, a sign-up sheet will be in the canteen Oct. 27th and the last day to
sign-up will be Wednesday Nov. 8th.  Bring a large covered Dish, Post will furnish meat.    Program hosted by Marshall Williams.

FROM THE MENS AUXILIARY: Ladies, the Chinese Auction will be Wed., Nov. 8 at 7pm at our Post hall.  It's open to the public, men, women and children are welcome.  If you would like to donate an item, it must be new, can be handmade, baked, purchased or a type of service.  It must be at the Post by 2pm.  Advance tickets at 6 for $1.00 will be available Wed. nights in the canteen.
At the door they will be 4 for $1.00.  Write your name & phone number on each ticket.  Homemade apple or pumpkin pie & coffee will be available.  This is how it works---items will be placed on tables with a cup next to it for the ticket.  You will have 30 minutes to make your selections.  At 7:30pm the auction begins with tickets drawn from each cup for a winner.  If you have any questions, call Ruby Burdick at 748-2222
 
Thanks to all who came to our September meeting.  We would like thank Gary McLaughlin for taking over as treasurer for our Auxiliary.  Dues for 2007 will increase to $27 to be paid by December 31, 2006.

We still need help with raffles on Wednesday and Friday nights also if you can help with any of the Post functions please let us know.
