WOW WHAT A MONTH!!!    August was a very busy month with a spaghetti dinner, pig roast, picnic, barnyard raffle and the rummage sale, thanks to all for a successful
month.   To our membership and our employees  you were all so much help with all our functions,  I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.  I would
also like to thank our distinguished guests....Department Commander Bill Seagraves, his wife Joann, Department President Jan Merrick, past Department Commander
Larry Krugman, District Commander Marshall Williams his wife Marie, Lorain County Council Commander David Root, his wife Sue, Lorain County Council President
Mary Miller her husband and from the National Children's Home Ted and Kim, it was a great honor to have these guests at our picnic.

To our Mens and Ladies Auxiliaries, THANK YOU, what a great success we have when we work together.

"GIT-R-DONE" Ponders from the Commander:  Thanks to everyone who donated to our rummage sale.  Our Scout Troop 107 and Scout Master Mike would like to give
their thanks for the trailer donated by the Post
We now have a suggestion box in the canteen, please if you come up with a good idea for a fund raiser or  ideas for our canteen

write it down put it in the box.  Any member who knows someone who can be a regular member of our post and signs them up I  personally will take those members out
to lunch if they sign-up six regular members by the end of the year.

to claim Diseases associated with exposure to Agent Orange.

Sept. 1st thru Dec. 20th - We will have a food drive for Harvest House, Salvation Army, also our local needy Veterans Families.
Sept. 2nd  from 11am to 2pm - Elyria Veterans Memorial Dedication is scheduled, all Veterans please attend this very special event.
Sept. 7-8-9 - DAV Forget-Me-Not Fund raiser.
Sept. 9 & 23 - Karaoke Contest 7pm - 8:30pm sign-up sheet at Canteen..& awards
Sept. 13th - Tickets go on sale for Clambake October 8th Band will be Denny Michaels
Sept. 24th - Car Show Swap Meet and Breakfast 8am to 4pm.  Call (440) 365-8500 or see Gene.

MENS AUX. PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR: Ladies,
 I would like to thank everyone that helped with Pig Roast & Picnic.  Both went well.  Here's a list for Sept. 7,  Bib Day 9:00am . Please come out to help  we need people to cut, sew, pin and fold, so we have something for everyone.  We will have lunch after.   Sept. 10, District 9 meeting 2480 Port Clinton please try to attend.  Sept. 19, inspection Pot Luck at 6pm, meeting at 7:30pm please try to attend.  The Commander is going to be needing our help for different things so please sign up.
Community Service: Please keep hours to turn over to Doris.
National Home: Save labels for Shirley.
