Wow men half the year is gone already.  We've had a very successful first half.   Thanks to our members who have worked so hard to help 1079 on their move forward, we still need help on our 50/50 raffles.  Please come forward and let me know if you can help.  Our meeting night is the forth Monday of the month at 7pm, see you then.

Lorain County Council Auxiliary Meeting January 22, 2007 at Post 1079.

                                                                          Ruth Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  First I would like to thank everyone who helped by donating food for our food drive and with all the raffles, Barnyard Raffle, Childrens Christmas party, Commanders party and the New Years Eve party  thanks so very much for all your help!   Special thanks goes out to my wife Barb, her mom Margaret, Pat O ' Quinn, Georgia Meadows and  President Ruth Conrad for all their help in the kitchen.

Thanks also goes out to Charlie Wirth for a great job on the childrens Christmas party, it was wonderful and the children had fun.
Another thank  you goes out to my fund raising chairman Gene O'Quinn for all his hard work.  Their is still a lot of  thanks but they are to numerous to mention, you know who you are!     Team work will GIT-R-DONE.

Congratulations to newly elected Jr. Vice Commander Charlie Wirth, 1 year trustee Larry Mollenkamp and Surgeon Benny Rigs and appointed officers, officer of the day Scott Corbitt, Guard Jack Gresham.   Welcome aboard men!

I would also like to congratulate our new Girl Scout Troop 449, any of you knowing a child who would like to join the girl or boy scouts they meet at our post every Thursday, girls meeting starts at 6pm and the boys at 7pm.

To the Ladies Auxiliary members I would appreciate any one who can come and help out with the Auxiliary Breakfast January 14th.
January   8 - Ohio State Championship game, come out and join us in a tailgate party.
January 13 - Barmaids Barnyard raffle , we always have a lot of fun - so come out and support our Barmaids.
January 14 - Ladies Auxiliary Breakfast 9am - 12noon  --$4.50 Adults, $3.00 Children
January 18 - Boy Scouts Spaghetti dinner 5 - 7pm, cost $6.00.  PLEASE COME AND HAVE SOME GOOD SPAGHETTI.
