Comrades: Well is everyone ready for spring? There is a lot on our agenda in the next three months. We will be utilizing our pavilion a lot this year but there is some work to be done on the pavilion. Don't forget when doing your spring cleaning that you keep us in mind for rummage sale items. We will be having another one this year.

  We are going to put a real fine lawn mower up for chance and the winner will be drawn April 30th, so get into the canteen and check it out.

  At the last post meeting it was decided on the floor to sell our organ & piano via sealed bid $100 minimum for the organ and $200 for the piano. Only post members can bid on these items.   March 31st we will open the bids and award the items to the highest bidder.

  At our March 19th meeting we will be passing out membership year pins 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 etc. so if your eligible for one please be at our next post meeting.
March 11 - District 9 meeting 10am in Norwalk.
March 17 - St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Dance - Social Hour 5pm - Dinner 5:30 , corn beef & cabbage, cost $12 with advanced                               tickets, cut-off for tickets will be March 14. The doors will reopen at 6:45 for regular Saturday night dance.
March 30 - Barnyard Raffle 6pm - 8pm - members and guest welcome - come and join us for some fun and good food.
March 31 - Little League North steak fry fund raiser for the kids, 6pm - 11pm, $20 donation includes steak, potato, salad, roll,                                dessert, pop & draft beer. Tickets will be in the canteen.
District 9 Cmdr. Marshall Williams testimonial dinner & dance will be April 28th at Post 1079, Tickets are $15 which includes appetizers, dinner, dessert and dance. Tickets will be on sale in the Canteen.

Sunday April 1st will be the children's Easter egg hunt 1pm - 4pm. A sign-up sheet will be put out in the canteen. Cut-off date to sign up will be March 23rd.
Come and join us and the Easter bunny in a day of fun. We will be serving hot dogs and chips for the children.

Don't forget the Mens Auxiliary meeting is the 4th Monday of the month. Election time is getting close, so if your interested in an elected position -start talking to your peers.

Hi ladies, just a few lines to say Mid Winter is over and we received citations for Veterans Family Support Program, Hospital program, Hospital fund, Wheelchair Olympics, Community, Americanism, Youth Activities, Cancer Aid and Research Program, VFW Political Action Committee, Buddy Poppy, Jr. Girls Unit and the Voice of Democracy Program.

This year 1079 had the Department winner his name is Luke Williams, congratulations to him. He goes to Washington D.C.   Good Luck in the National Competition.

See you March 6th at 12 noon and March 20th at 8pm. Thanks to the Mens Auxiliary for letting the Lorain County Council use the hall the 22nd of January.
